HARDTALK Podcast Episode 10: Speedgoat & Bronco Billy

HARDTALK Podcast Episode 10: Speedgoat & Bronco Billy

The Hardrock 100 Endurance Run is one of the toughest mountain ultras in the world and usually lands in the top 3 on the ultra running bucket list. Starting and finishing in Silverton, Colorado the loop course takes runners 102 miles through Telluride, Ouray and Sherman along 4x4 roads and rocky alpine trails, climbing and descending 33,000 feet at an average altitude of 11,000 feet for a total of 66,000 feet of elevation gain and loss. The average finish times are over 39 hours, surpassing the cutoff for most 100 mile races.

Karl and Jeff Browning joined the hosts (Social Media Director Dan Ryan and Board of Directors member Chris Twiggs) of the Hardtalk Podcast for their 10th episode. Karl has won Hardrock 5 times and Jeff won in 2018. Speedgoat and Bronco Billy have spent a lot of time on the course together over the years and they recount a few of their favorite stories as well as talk about the origins of their nicknames. Sit back and enjoy the episode!
