On September 18, 2016 after 45 days, 22 hours and 38 minutes of hiking and running, Karl Metlzer slapped the plaque on top of Springer Mountain and said “game over.” He’d just set the new fastest known time on the Appalachian Trail, the world's longest hiking only footpath.
The 2189 Mile Blend commemorates the spirit of Karl’s record setting feat of endurance. While the blood, sweat and tears he left on the trail have faded away, the memories shared with friends and family who supported his attempt live on.
Start your day with this bold and adventurous coffee sourced from the mountains of Indonesia. It’s full bodied with hints of earth and ripe tobacco balanced by stone fruits.
